Its Facebook Official... We're expecting our first child this coming June! We couldn't be more excited! I purchased our Christmas Ornament for this year yesterday, and I'm kinda in love with it. =)
My husband is requesting that I finally update our blog. Its been awhile, but I've been dealing with a lot of Morning Sickness (no bueno) so my attention has been elsewhere. When I'm not sick or napping, I have to focus on cleaning our messy house that has lost most of my attention. So my extras such as crafting, blogging, etc have gone gotten abandoned.
Where it all began:
It was Friday, October 12th. Earlier in the week, I had taken an early pregnancy test which came back negative. I was absolutely sure we were not pregnant. Lee kept assuring me we were! (how he knew, you got me) I told him that I thought I knew my body a little better than he did, and that I was sure I was going to be receiving my monthly visit from mother nature any day now. However, when she still hadn't shown up a few days late, we decided to try another test. I went to the dollar store, because I wasn't about to use my expensive test. Because of course, this was just to prove to Lee that I was in fact not pregnant. I didn't even sit and watch with anticipation, because I was confident. However, when I came back to the test later, there in fact was an extra pink line.... what?!?! no way?!?! That was even Lee's exact response. So then, we used the expensive digital test to confirm, I mean the dollar store could have just been misleading... nope. It was confirmed again! We couldn't believe it. I was in shock and excitment all at once. Sometimes I still don't believe it. It's so surreal.
The Bet:
Then, came my unfortunate mistake. =/ A few months earlier, Lee and I came across the most awesome show ever... Duck Dynasty. Words cannot express the envy Lee had for their beards, and he desperately wanted to grow one for himself. So I made the bet.... (shaking my head) Back then, Lee was still not sure if he was ready for kids, I on the other hand have been begging him for a year to have kids. Apparently, I had an out of body experience and said, "Ok, when you get me pregnant, then you can grow out your beard." What was I thinking? Of course, he remembered, and I really think that was his top motivation, ha! So if you haven't seen Lee in a while.... he has a beard... And we are tracking its growth along with the baby's. (shaking my head)
Here is our story in pictures...
